Since AKSU does not have hostels at the moment, all students live outside the school. House rents around AKSU varies depending on the facilities and distance away from the school. Here is a more accurate analysis of what to expect if you're looking for house around AKSU Obio Akpa or Main Campus.

As at 2022, a single room with tiles (but no kitchen and toilet inside the room) in AKSU Obio Akpa or Ikot Akpaden is between N50,000 to N55,000. 

A single room without tiles, toilet or kitchen inside the room in AKSU Obio Akpa or Ikot Akpaden is between N40,000 to N50,000 depending on how far or closed it is to the school. 

A semi self-contained room with tiles with only kitchen inside, while the toilet is outside, (sometimes 2 -3 rooms share one toilet) is between N55,000 to N60,000 in AKSU Obio Akpa and Main campus at Ikot Akpaden

A self contained room, well furnished with tiles, toilet and kitchen inside is between N85,000 to N120,000 depending on it's location from the school. Generally, houses closed to the school cost higher than those far away from school.
