How many campuses do AKSU have? 

AKSU has two campuses; the main campus located at Ikot Akpaden in Mkpat Enin LGA and Obio Akpa Campus located at Oruk Anam LGA.

Does AKSU accept second choice?

No! AKSU does not accept second choice candidate. Thus, candidates must select AKSU as first choice during the process of JAMB registration.

Do AKSU write Aptitude Test In 2022?

No! AKSU does not write Aptitude Test. However, candidates must meet the admission requirements by possessing and submitting the relevant documents.

 Do AKSU have hostels?

No! AKSU does not have hostels at the moment. However, there are lots of private accomodations and self-contained apartments near the school at both campuses. 

How many years can I spend in AKSU for one Programme?

At the moment, AKSU has two categories of scholars. The 4-year courses (mainly for Arts related courses) and 5-year for some science related courses. 

Who is AKSU's VC?

Professor Nse Essien is the Vice Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University.

Do AKSU students go for IT/Internship Program?

Yes, AKSU students are allowed to participate at internship programme based on their courses of study.

Akwa Ibom State University, AKSU was established in 2010. 

How much is AKSU's school fees in 2022?

  • Indigene Returning Students = N53,000 per session
  • Non-Indigene Returning Students = N73,000 per session
  • Freshers Indigene = N90,000 per session
  • Freshers Non-Indigene = N120,000 per session. 

How much is house rent around AKSU? 

Since AKSU does not have hostels at the moment, all students live outside the school. House rents varies depending on the facilities in the house. 

As at 2022, a single room with tiles (no kitchen and toilet inside the room) is between N50,000 to N55,000. 
A single room without tiles, toilet or kitchen inside the room is between N40,000 to N50,000 depending on how far or closed it is to the school. 
A semi self-contained room with tiles (only kitchen inside while toilet is outside, sometimes 2 -3 rooms per toilet) is between N55,000 to N60,000. 
A self contained room, well furnished with tiles, toilet and kitchen inside is between N85,000 to N120,000 depending on it's location from the school. Generally, houses closed to the school cost higher than those far away from school.
